Northwest Michigan Health Services, Inc.(NMHSI) was founded in 1968 in response to the growing need for health care for Michigans agricultural labor force.
As a Federally Qualified Health Center, NMHSI is the only health organization in Michigan to serve exclusively migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their families.
It is their goal to increase access to medical and dental services, provide health education, and serve as a bridge between farmworkers and their host communities.
NMHSIs health providers specialize in providing primary care in Spanish and English that honors the cultural traditions of their clients.
