The Anne Arundel County Department of Health provides the following dental services:
- Dental Health Services
- Dental Clinic for Patients Under 21Provides dental services to County residents under age 21 on a sliding fee scale, as well as to residents under age 21 with Medical Assistance or in the Maryland Healthy Smiles Program.
- School Education Dental ProgramProvides oral health education that introduces good oral hygiene and nutrition habits to school-aged children in Anne Arundel County.
- Maternity Patient ProgramProvides oral health education, cleanings and dental care at the Department\'s clinics to eligible maternity patients and to maternity patients who are with the Maryland Healthy Smiles Program.
- Patients are also educated about the prevention of bottle tooth decay and other oral health concerns for babies.
- Patients can receive comprehensive dental care and referrals to specialists up until delivery of their baby.
- Healthy Senior SmilesProvides oral health education, oral cancer screenings and referrals at the County\'s senior centers.
- Anne Arundel Dental Access ProgramProvides dental services to the uninsured and the underinsured.
- Through this cooperative effort, local dentists provide services at reduced fees (10 percent to 25 percent less).
- Patients are interviewed for eligibility via application and referred to two or three participating dentists for treatment by the Dental Health Program.
- Eligible patients are given a fee reduction card that is valid for one year.
