The keystone rural health consortia, inc. began operations on February 2, 1976 in Emporium.
Their mission statement of "One team working together for better community healthcare" exemplifies their attitude both toward each other and toward the communities that they serve.
Since their beginnings, they have expanded to Coudersport with the Central Potter Health Center, opened dental clinics in Emporium and Johnsonburg, initiated primary health care in Snow Shoe at the Mountaintop Area Medical Center, and broadened their services to provide child and family counseling and services with the inclusion of The Family Center in Emporium.
Their organization continues to grow in order to provide much needed health service to rural communities throughout Northern and Central Pennsylvania.
