Healing the Sick in the Name of Jesus-Mission Medical Clinic is a Christian free clinic founded in January, 2004.
From a one loaned room clinic with seven volunteers seeing the poor and uninsured one night a week, they have grown into a comprehensive chronic disease management group of clinics under one central roof which includes:
- primary care
- diabetes
- dental
- vision
- spiritual support and prayer
- gynecology
- behavioral health
- cardiac care and prevention
Which collaborates with Peak Vista CommunityHealth Centers, the medical and dental societies, hospital systems, and other safety net clinics.
Their "niche" is to serve low income adults with no coverage and no access living in El Paso and Teller counties with chronic disease conditions. They have over 250 volunteers supplemental by a small number of mostly part time staff.
All patients are seen by appointment at Mission Medical Clinic
Services Offered:
- Medical Office visits(ages 18 - 64)
- Dispensary for maintenance medications (No narcotics)
- Dental Clinic for MMC patients only(See urgent need below)
- Flu Shots
- Pharmacy Assistance Program (Paperwork for medications from the pharmaceutical companies)
- Limited Lab and X-ray tests at both city hospitals (CICP patients must pay a co-pay)
- TB testing
- Diabetic Clinic
- Podiatry Services
- Physical Therapy (subject to availability)
- Very Limited Mental Health Services
- Limited Refferals
- Vision Care
